Trisha Unwinding

Description

After an exhaustive photo shoot down by the pool, Trisha takes a night off, playing one of her favorite games. Well, actually, she took the whole day off, and possibly some of last night. She's sort of lost track of time. She's obviously enjoying herself at least! She deserves it!

-------

Trying again to make more complete scenes, I added a few props to hopefully give the feel of an almost lived in space. This was going to be part of a larger set, but it may not at this point. It has, however, proven highly educational in a "learn by making bad decisions" way. I had grand aspirations with this top, and in short, a slew of poor workflow decisions means this top is basically a static prop that can't be fit or posed. I tried a couple of tricks to fix it, but by the time I got to that point, I'd lost all the things that made it neat. So, if the set continues, she'll probably be quickly losing her top unless I can figure out some way to fix this.

... which I realize now is probably what you all want anyways :-p

What I like about this image is the overall use of scene props. You can never have too many in my opinion.

The room itself feels a little empty, maybe a few more props could have been added. Cushions, potted plants, books in the unit etc. Even the addition of a cat or dog would have worked well.

The only detractor for me is the back wall and possibly the floor. They both make the scene feel a little cold. Trisha is suitably engrossed in what she's going and I really like the tongue sticking out, been there, done that!

One additional thought is that to remove some of the starkness of the background, a closer crop and re-positioning of the painting may have negated some of the negative space on the right.

Overall this is a very well thought out scene, it just feels a little unfinished to me. But you know me hehe.
